Meet Our Expert Instructors

Lori Livingston

Owner/Instructor

I’m a certified Pilates instructor and proud owner of Align Pilates Indy, with five years of experience helping clients build strength, mobility, and confidence—both physically and mentally. My passion for Pilates is rooted in its ability to transform lives, and I’m dedicated to creating a supportive, empowering space where every client can reach his or her full potential. Outside the studio, I’m all about quality time with my family and giving endless love to every dog I meet (and yes, I remember their names better than I do most humans). Fun fact: I can cue a perfect teaser while holding a coffee and petting a golden retriever—multitasking is my superpower.

Pavla

I’m Pavla. Seventeen years ago, my journey began as a group fitness instructor teaching everything from Bodywork and Spinning to Pilates, Kickboxing, Cardio Jam, and Aqua Aerobics. Since then, I’ve evolved into a certified Health Coach, specializing in personalized fitness, nutrition, and holistic lifestyle guidance.

My favorite styles include bodyweight and strength training, HIIT, Pilates, stretching, resistance bands, and functional tools like BOSU and Pilates rings — all scalable for any fitness level and age.

I believe true wellness is about more than just movement — it’s a lifestyle. A blend of mindful exercise, balanced nutrition, and stress management is key to sustainable, feel-good results.

Crystal

Crystal is a passionate Pilates instructor who discovered the healing power of movement through her own recovery journey following foot surgery and spinal issues. Pilates helped her rebuild strength, resilience, and energy—an experience she now brings to her students with purpose and care.

Certified in both comprehensive Pilates (500 hours) and as an RYT® 500 yoga instructor, Crystal integrates Mat, Reformer, TRX, Chair, Cadillac, Ladder Barrel, Springboard, and Spine Corrector into her classes. Her sessions are dynamic yet focused, with an emphasis on form, alignment, and mindful movement.

Crystal’s classes offer a supportive space to build strength, improve mobility, and reconnect with your body—because she believes movement is not just exercise, but a path to transformation.

Amela

I have been a personal trainer and group fitness instructor for 10 years now and I have recently started teaching Reformer as well! I got married to my best friend late last year and I have 2 dogs that mean the world to me. I love coffee, animals, hip hop music, fitness and sunshine.”

Courtney

An Indiana native and IU Bloomington graduate, I’ve been teaching yoga since 2016 and recently expanded into Pilates after over 15 years of personal practice. I’m a 500-hour certified yoga instructor with comprehensive Pilates training, passionate about intentional movement that strengthens the body, enhances flexibility, and deepens the mind-body connection.

My classes blend mindfulness and strength to help you feel grounded, aligned, and empowered. Outside the studio, I love live music, travel, nature, and relaxing at home with my dogs. 🖤

Colleen

I’m an ACE-certified Group Fitness Instructor with two years of experience teaching Pilates. Growing up as a dancer, I’ve always appreciated the beauty of movement — and now, my passion lies in creating a space where others can share in that appreciation. I believe everyone deserves an inclusive and empowering environment to cultivate a strong mind-body connection. In my classes, you’ll experience a dynamic blend of creativity, challenge, and motivation. I welcome all fitness levels and encourage you to embrace your unique strengths. Whether we’re building flexibility, balance, or stamina, my goal is to help you leave class feeling stronger, more confident, and one step closer to your goals. Let’s find your strength together!

Maria

Maria spent 22 years living in London, England before relocating to the Indianapolis area, where she was thrilled to discover a thriving Pilates community. What began as a curiosity quickly became a passion — she was drawn to the way Pilates builds strength, supports injury recovery, and delivers results at any stage of life.

Now a comprehensively trained instructor with over 500 hours of certification, Maria brings a rich blend of classical and contemporary Pilates to her classes. She incorporates the Reformer, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Cadillac, Springboard, TRX, and Mat to create well-rounded, challenging, and fun sessions.

Maria’s teaching focuses on precise form, core strength, posture, and full-body wellness. Her goal is to help clients move better, feel stronger, and experience the transformative power of Pilates firsthand.

Kirsten

Kirsten (KC) has been practicing Pilates since 2015, while she was training for her first marathon. Although it was not planned, Kirsten dropped 10 strokes off of her golf game after taking Pilates for only 6 months. As a former triathlete, she has always been very active. She has done Cross fit, Barre Classes, Master Swimming, Spinning Classes, and Yoga, among others. She loves the body mind connection of Pilates and loves teaching people how the power of strengthening their core affects all aspects of their movement. She is also very passionate about the fact that anyone, at any age, and any body type can do Pilates. In her free time, she loves to travel with her husband.

Sophie

Sophie is originally from London, UK, where she grew up with a passion for movement and competed in tennis at a high level. Her athletic background led her to discover the benefits of yoga and Pilates, especially for building strength, improving flexibility, and preventing injury.

Now a junior at Purdue University studying Communication, Sophie brings her energy and expertise to the studio with a fresh perspective. Her goal is to help clients improve posture, develop core strength, and gain confidence through creative, engaging, and well-balanced classes.

With an upbeat and supportive teaching style, Sophie focuses on alignment, functional strength, and mindful movement — making her classes accessible and effective for all levels.

Katie

Meet Katie — a dedicated Pilates practitioner for over 10 years and a passionate new instructor at Align Pilates Indy. With a background as an occupational therapist, Katie brings a deep understanding of how movement supports both physical and mental well-being. She loves helping clients unlock their potential and reach their health and wellness goals through intentional, strength-building Pilates.

Whether you’re new to the practice or a seasoned Pilates enthusiast, Katie creates a supportive, empowering space for growth. Outside of the studio, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her dog.

Kira

Kira is the Chief Operating Officer at Roxley Games and runs her own gaming media consultancy, OffDutyNinja. After years of long hours at a desk, she discovered Pilates as a way to combat stiffness and reclaim mobility — and quickly fell in love with the practice. Over four years later, she now brings that same passion to teaching.

Certified in both Reformer and Mat Pilates, Kira specializes in approachable, strength-building classes designed for busy professionals who need to decompress, stretch, and recharge. Her signature “Lazy Pilates” classes may sound gentle, but don’t be fooled — they’re thoughtfully designed to challenge your body in the best way.

With a background in gaming and creative problem-solving, Kira brings a playful, innovative energy to every session. Her goal is to make Pilates both effective and enjoyable, helping clients feel stronger, looser, and more connected in their daily lives.

My name is Trevor, currently a 2x Arnold Champion in the weight class (132) I compete in along with Midwest / State record holder. When I’m not working or picking things up (🤪) I spend time with my son and making the most out of life.
