Pilates & Yoga Instructor
I am an Indiana native and attended IU in Bloomington. I have been teaching yoga since 2016 – and have now ventured into the Pilates realm. I have been practicing yoga for over 15 years and taking Pilates Reformer classes for about the same amount of time. I love how they are both different, but compliment each other so well! I am a 500 hour certified yoga instructor – and recently completed by Comprehensive Pilates training at Era Pilates in Indianapolis. I love mindful, intentional movement that helps build strength and flexibility – as well as movement that helps to facilitate a mind-body connection, along with building core strength.
When not in a studio, I love live music, traveling, reading, trying local restaurants, being out in nature, being at home (big introvert!), and spending time with my dogs.🖤

Crystal is a passionate and knowledgeable Pilates instructor who understands firsthand the power of movement in healing and transformation. After undergoing surgery for her metatarsals and working to restore her spinal health, she became a true believer in the power of mindful movement. Pilates not only helped her recover but also unlocked a newfound strength, resilience, and vitality—an experience she now shares with her students.
Certified through an intensive 500-hour Pilates training, Crystal is well-versed in Mat, Reformer, TRX, Chair, Cadillac, Ladder Barrel, Springboard, and the Spine Corrector. Her expertise ensures that each class is both dynamic and purposeful, blending creative sequencing with a deep focus on form and alignment. She also holds an RYT® 500 Yoga Alliance certification, further enriching her approach to movement and wellness.
Crystal creates a supportive, non-competitive space where students can go beyond their daily routines and connect with movement as a tool for self-healing and growth. My Pilates journey started when I caught myself groaning like an old lady just getting up from my desk. Talk about a wake-up call! Now I’m hooked on helping fellow desk warriors rediscover what it feels like to move freely again. Whether it’s on the reformer or mat, I love mixing in fun props and creating killer playlists.
Outside the studio, I’m basically a zoo keeper – four chickens with Star Wars names (yes, really!), two cats who think they run the place, and two bearded dragons who judge everyone silently.
Gayle Waldenmaier
Pilates Instructor
As a nurse practitioner and lifelong fitness enthusiast, Gayle values the way Pilates unites strength, flexibility, balance (posture) and the mind – key components she feels everyone needs to help achieve the best version of oneself no matter your age or fitness level. “Adding Pilates to my fitness routine is one of the best lifestyle choice’s I have ever made. It has exponentially improved my movement, stability, flexibility, self-esteem and inner peace which to me equates to a better quality of life.”
Wanting to share this positivity with others, Gayle is adding “Pilates Instructor” to her credentials; her training includes a 500+ hour comprehensive teacher training program. You’ll enjoy Gayle’s energy, encouragement and knowledge here at Align. She is skilled in teaching a full range of equipment and her style is a blend of classic, contemporary and athletic movements. Given her health care background Gayle really focuses on movement and form so her clients can receive optimal benefit from their Pilates practice.
Outside of her professional life Gayle loves travel, scuba diving, spending time with family, reading and growing orchids. She looks forward to seeing you in class soon!

Hello, my name is Katie! I have been practicing Pilates for 10 years and am excited to share my passion for Pilates with you as a teacher at Align Pilates Indy! During my day job as an occupational therapist, I get to work with clients focusing on maximizing their potential and strengthening their minds and bodies through the power of movement. I am excited to get to use these skills to help a variety of clients grow and reach their health and wellness goals. Whether you are a Pilates veteran or new to the practice, I look forward to being a part of your journey! When I am not working or doing Pilates I love reading, hiking, and spending time with my dog.
Delaney Sopko
Apprentice Pilates Instructor & Front Desk Extraordinaire
Delaney started practicing Pilates with her Mom while in high school and fell in love with movement. She balances managing the front desk at the studio and training for her Pilates certification.
When not in the studio, Delaney loves to spend time with her dog, Huck, and listening to music!
Jessi Broadwater
Barre Instructor
Although I’ve only been a certified Barre instructor for a year, I bring over a decade of experience taking a wide range of Pilates and Barre classes. Fitness has always been a true passion of mine, and I love inspiring others to find their own joy in movement. My goal is to help you push past your limits, grow stronger with every class, and celebrate every bit of progress along the way!
When I’m not in the studio, you’ll likely find me baking sweet treats, getting lost in a good book on the porch, or curled up on the couch watching movies with my boyfriend and our cat.
Danielle Bonaventura
Pilates Instructor
Danielle has been instructing since 2018 and holds a comprehensive pilates certification through a 500-hour training program that incorporates multiple apparatuses, including the reformer, springboard, exo chair, ladder barrel, Cadillac, and classical mat pilates. She is also a certified Barre Above instructor and a certified TRX instructor.
Danielle enjoys fusing both classical and modern pilates exercises. She is fun, energetic and loves a good sense of humor. She enjoys working with clients of all levels and excels at catering to each individual while guiding them to realize their full potential.
